When you think of almond butter you usually think of that delicious
brown stuff with chuncks of almonds mixed in and buttery like peanut
butter. I love the brown almond butter. But here's a recipe for butter
like substance.
1 c. blanched slivered almonds
1 1/4 c. water
3 T. cornstarch
1/2 t. salt
Blend all of these in a blender. Put in a small pot and bring to a boil
to thicken. When thickened, pour into a desired container and
refrigerate.
